Australian born tenor Stuart Haycock studied voice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music before completing his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Recent engagements include Bardolph Falstaff for Mid Wales Opera, Don Curzio Le Nozze di Figaro for Garsington Opera, Borsa Rigoletto at Iford Arts Festival, Ferrando Cosi Fan Tutte for English Chamber Opera and Panatellas La Perichole for Opera South.

He has a wide concert repertoire ranging from Monteverdi’s Vespers through to Ramirez’s Misa Criolla. He has appeared as guest vocalist with Ben Folds on his Australian orchestral tours of 2005 and 2006 and the subsequent DVD; and at recitals for Opera Australia, the Sydney Conservatorium, West Australian Lieder Society, Blackwood River Chamber Festival, the Opera and Arts Support Group Sydney, ABC Classic FM and for Dame Joan Sutherland on her 80th Birthday. He is a recent graduate of the Solti Accademia di Bel Canto in Italy.

Other operatic roles include Don Ottavio Don Giovanni, Tom Rakewell The Rake’s Progress, the Witch Hansel and Gretel, Alfredo Die Fledermaus, the title role Candide, Sam Kaplan Street Scene, Spoleta Tosca, Gastone La Traviata and Fileno La Fedelta Premiata.

Last season he sung Mole in Fantastic Mr Fox for English Touring Opera, Triquet Eugene Onegin for Stanley Hall Opera, and St Brioche The Merry Widow for Opera Project.

The current season includes Goro Madama Butterfly (Mid Wales Opera/New Devon Opera), the covers of Franz, Pittichinaccio, Cochenille The Tales of Hoffmann (ENO), and Beppe I Pagliacci (Stanley Hall Opera).
