Kamilla Dunstan was born in Yorkshire, then emigrated to New Zealand before returning to the UK. She studied at the Royal College of Music International Opera School, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Opera includes Ariodante (London Handel Festival), Orlofsky and Dorabella (Clonter Opera) and recently Fanny Price in Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park (Opera South). In 2017 she was an Alvarez Young Artist at Garsington Opera and she recently covered Second Lady Die Zauberflöte for Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
Concerts include Vaughan Williams’s Serenade to Music with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, also broadcast on BBC Radio 3. She was a finalist at the Maureen Lehane Singing Competition at the Wigmore Hall in November 2018.
The current season includes Flosshilde Das Rheingold with the Birmingham Philharmonic at Symphony Hall, and the cover of Eurydice (Woman) in The Mask of Orpheus for English National Opera.
Plans include Second Lady for Glyndebourne on Tour.
