Eimear Ní Choileáin

Born in Northern Ireland, Eimear Ní Choileáin has recently expanded her repertoire to include dramatic soprano roles by Wagner, Verdi, Puccini and Richard Strauss.

She is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, and subsequently took part in English National Opera’s ‘The Knack’ and ‘The Works’ programmes, creating the role of Press: Reporter in Julian Grant’s A Very Private Beach.

She joined Glyndebourne Festival Opera in 2009 where roles included Jay The Cunning Little Vixen, La Chouette L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, and Theresa in The Yellow Sofa for Glyndebourne on Tour.

Other roles include Donna Elvira Don Giovanni, Elettra Idomeneo, Lady Billows Albert Herring and Mrs Peachum The Threepenny Opera.

Eimear Ní Choileáin is an experienced concert and recitalist, recently giving a concert for the BBC Young Musicians’ Platform at the Belfast Festival. She has toured Japan twice as a guest artist for EU-Japan Fest.
